The A/C Adapter fits into any standard wall socket. This feature eliminates any possible concern about having non-performing batteries. The A/C adapter provides the necessary power to maintain a steady charge for the included AA NiMh batteries. The A/C current is transformed into the Direct Current needed to charge the AA NiMh batteries which in turn charge the hearing aid battery cells. The charger can be used with or without the A/C adapter.
